A portrait film on Phyllis Dunlap, a uniquely positive woman that also happens to be my grandmother. This was filmed and edited over the course of a year, starting in the fall of 2016 and finishing in the fall of 2017.
Special thanks to Barbara Kern for financial contributions, Lexi Miller for production assistance, and Wynn Harrison for reviewing many versions of this.

'Phyllis Dunlap'
There has been a legacy of positivity in my family for a long time. It started with my Grandma Phyllis and it’s something my mom passed onto me. It’s a curious and wonderful thing and it sometimes gets me into trouble. But it’s a huge part of who I am and I’m grateful for that.
Phyllis turned 90 last year. I made this short film about her, mostly in an attempt to bottle up some of her positivity and try to understand it better.
